Identity and Access Management Manager

Old Dominion University is hiring an Identity and Access Management Manager. The manager leads a team to analyze business processes and recommend solutions to improve customer service and problem resolution. They oversee IAM services for university assets and third parties, manage user account lifecycles, ensure compliance with security strategies, and mentor staff to balance business initiatives with IAM security best practices. Highlights • Lead a team managing IAM services including account lifecycle, provisioning, access, SSO, directory services, and technical integrations. • Provide support through scripting, LDAP expertise, and complex troubleshooting. • Ensure IAM program compliance across university-managed assets and third-party systems. • Demonstrate leadership by coaching staff and executing security strategy set by senior management. • Extensive knowledge required in SSO, MFA, Active Directory, PKI, privileged accounts, APIs, ERP/SIS systems like Banner, and multiple operating systems. • Considerable experience with scripting languages (SQL, Perl, Python, shell), LDAP, cybersecurity, and technology security administration. • Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as PCI, FFIEC, SOX, HIPAA, GDPR, GLBA, and frameworks like ISO 17799, ITIL, or NIST. • Preferred experience with Windows, Linux, Unix, IDAM solutions, AWS or Microsoft Azure, and various compliance standards. • Salary range is $90,000 to $115,000 annually. • Position requires participation in on-call rotations and a fingerprint-based criminal history check.
