Seasonal Tax Preparer – Grow Your Client Base | Remote SLP Tax Service is seeking entry-level to mid-level PTIN holders who already have a small client base and want to grow their tax business during the upcoming season using an established firm infrastructure. This opportunity is ideal for preparers who are not ready for their own EFIN yet, but want access to professional software, bank products, training, and support while building clientele. Position Details: • Seasonal / Remote • Work under SLP Tax Service’s EFIN, software, and pricing • Ability to bring and service your own clients • Firm-provided training and compliance oversight Responsibilities • Prepare individual federal & state tax returns for your clients • Follow firm due-diligence, documentation, and compliance standards • Submit returns using firm software • Maintain professional communication and turnaround times • Grow your client base while operating under firm guidelines Required Qualifications • Active PTIN (required) • Prior tax preparation experience (at least 1 season preferred) • Existing client base (even small) preferred • Willingness to follow firm pricing, workflow, and compliance procedures • Entrepreneur mindset with professionalism Not a Fit If You Are: • Seeking hourly or salaried employment • Expecting managerial authority or firm control • Looking to override firm pricing or procedures • A CPA seeking a firm-level or supervisory role Compensation • Per-return compensation • Client ownership applies to clients you independently source • No hourly or salaried pay • Compensation structure discussed during onboarding Ideal Candidate • PTIN holder building a tax business • Has some clients but wants to scale • Needs software, EFIN access, and bank products • Values structure, compliance, and growth How to Apply Qualified candidates must complete our PTIN Tax Preparer Screening Form.
