Soc/Clin Research Assistant

The Soc/Clin Research Assistant will gather, organize, and disseminate data for population-based epidemiologic cancer research studies, working closely with the RCA Coordinator and other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Gather, organize, and disseminate data for population-based epidemiologic cancer research studies that utilize Rapid Case Ascertainment (RCA)
- Work under the guidance of the RCA Coordinator
- Interface with hospital cancer registrars and university researchers
- Interact with a team of NC Central Cancer Registry staff to provide quality support for cancer research
- Access pathology reports
Skills
- Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions
- Ability to analyze data collection methods and workflow processes and recommend improvements is critical to this position
- Education or experience involving relational database methodology preferred
- Experience preparing professional reports and/or manuals preferred
- Experience working w/ PHI
- Experience with Microsoft Office Products including: Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Publisher
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records
