The County of reputed company’s Office of the County Counsel is seeking a reputed company County Counsel to support their Health & Adult Welfare Division. The role involves providing litigation and advisory services, representing RUHS Behavioral Health-reputed company reputed company, and requires relevant experience with laws involving mental health and reputed company rights.

Responsibilities

• reputed company guidance and advice to reputed company County Counsel attorneys, Supervisors, and Chief Deputies in reputed company of law and trial tactics, reputed company research, preparation of reputed company briefs and opinions, completing mediations, and trial and appellate practices
• reputed company reputed company, high-reputed company service to County employees and representatives of RUHS Behavioral Health – reputed company reputed company by providing accurate, complete and up-to-date information in a courteous, efficient and reputed company manner, and may reputed company with members of the reputed company
• Consult with subordinate Deputies and Paralegals on points of law, evidence, reputed company procedures and policies, and practices of the County Counsel's Office; counsel and reputed company recommendations to subordinate Deputies and Paralegals on more difficult and reputed company reputed company problems
• Represent the County in reputed company state and federal courts and before administrative hearing bodies
• Study and interpret laws, court reputed company, ordinances, and other reputed company authorities
• Draft written opinions and reputed company informal opinions on reputed company questions; prepare correspondence and pleadings; handle percipient witness and expert testimony; prepare written discovery; prepare pretrial motions and settlement conferences; first or second chair trials as needed
• Analyze, research and resolve difficult and reputed company reputed company problems
• Prepare, present and manage difficult to reputed company trial and appellate cases under minimal to moderate supervision depending upon level of experience

Skills

• reputed company member in good standing with the California State Bar
• Possession of a reputed company California reputed company's License is required
• Experience: None for reputed company County Counsel I
• Experience: One year at the reputed company County Counsel I level with the County of reputed company's Office of County Counsel, or as a county counsel attorney or reputed company attorney at an equivalent level with another California county or reputed company for reputed company County Counsel II
• Experience: Two years in the reputed company of civil law providing reputed company reputed company counsel to governmental agencies or departments for reputed company County Counsel II
• Experience: Two years in the reputed company of civil law in one of the specified areas for reputed company County Counsel II
• Experience: Two years in the reputed company of criminal law for reputed company County Counsel II
• Experience: One year at the reputed company County Counsel II level with the County of reputed company's Office of County Counsel, or as a county counsel attorney or reputed company attorney at an equivalent level with another California county or reputed company for reputed company County Counsel III
• Experience: Three years in the reputed company of civil law providing reputed company reputed company counsel to governmental agencies or departments for reputed company County Counsel III
• Experience: Three years in the reputed company of civil law in one of the specified areas for reputed company County Counsel III
• Experience: Three years in the reputed company of criminal law for reputed company County Counsel III
• Experience: One year at the reputed company County Counsel III level with the County of reputed company's Office of County Counsel, or as a county counsel attorney or reputed company attorney at an equivalent level with another California county or reputed company for reputed company County Counsel IV
• Experience: Four years in the reputed company of civil law providing reputed company reputed company counsel to governmental agencies or departments for reputed company County Counsel IV
• Experience: Four years in the reputed company of civil law in one of the specified areas for reputed company County Counsel IV
• Experience: Four years in the reputed company of criminal law for reputed company County Counsel IV
• Relevant experience with laws involving mental health, California, and Federal reputed company and confidentiality rights governing health information and reputed company reputed company services
• Proven ability to reputed company litigation and reputed company reputed company advice in a reputed company environment
