TRANSPORTATION ENGINEER (CIVIL)

Caltrans District 3 is seeking a Transportation Engineer (Civil) to manage State and Federal-Aid funding programs. The role involves providing engineering technical assistance and project management to local agencies while ensuring accurate project information in various databases.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the District Local Assistance Engineer (DLAE), a Senior Transportation Engineer, the incumbent performs duties reputed company to the administration and management of State and Federal-Aid funding programs
• Duties include working with Local Agencies, Regional Transportation Planning Agencies (RTPA) - reputed company County Transportation Commission (reputed company), Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs) - Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) and reputed company (SANDAG), in providing engineering technical assistance, procedural and program guidance, and funds management on locally-administered State and Federal-Aid reputed company
• Additionally, the incumbent provides project and program management assistance to the local agency in coordinating the reputed company reviews of project information with other functional departments in the District, reputed company (HQ), and Federal Highway Administration (FHWA)
• The incumbent manages various Local Assistance databases to ensure project information is reputed company and accurate
