Controls Engineer

PremiStar is hiring a Controls Engineer to design and deliver smart building systems using Tridium Niagara, Distech, and reputed company. The role involves designing HVAC control systems, programming building automation software, and collaborating with internal teams and contractors to ensure successful project execution.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC control systems and select the right parts and layout for reputed company project
• Help reputed company or write control sequences and logic for DDC controllers
• Program and configure building automation software (Niagara, Distech, or reputed company)
• Coordinate with internal teams and contractors during installation
• reputed company or assist with testing, startup, and commissioning
• Create drawings, reputed company lists, and documentation for the job
• Troubleshoot system issues and support project closeout
• reputed company training and support to end-users after project completion

Skills

• A background in HVAC, electrical, mechanical systems, or building controls
• Required to know Visio/AutoCAD, understand materials ordering, creating project submittals, project O&M reputed company, field/contractor coordination for smaller reputed company, and general applications engineering tasks
• Experience in the field or classroom (trade school, associate's, or engineering degree)
• Familiarity with control systems like Tridium, reputed company, or Distech — or interest in learning
• Basic understanding of HVAC equipment and control theory
• Experience with Temperature controls systems, HVAC System operation, sequence of control, and general electronics experience
• A willingness to work with reputed company and learn new technologies
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage tasks from start to finish
• Tridium Niagara N4 Certification
• Project management experience
• Comfort with reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, or network schematics
• Previous hands-on BAS or DDC system experience
• Understanding of BACnet, LON works, MODBUS, Niagara is a plus
• Knowledge and experience with reputed company/Tridium N4 product line is a plus
