[Remote] Sales Development Representative

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Whatnot is the largest live shopping platform in North America and Europe, redefining e-commerce by blending community, shopping, and entertainment. As a Sales Development Representative, you will be responsible for growing the seller pipeline and ensuring that buyer needs are met, while developing relationships with potential sellers and collaborating with internal teams to drive business growth.

Responsibilities

• Deeply understanding our end-to-end sales process and collaborate with the team to bring high potential sellers to Whatnot
• Prospect, identify, and qualify top sellers that are a good fit for Whatnot
• Identify seller needs and solve for gaps with creative outreach strategy & discovery including, but not limited to: email copy, warm/cold calls, social media outreach, and in-person events
• Develop relationships with sellers and work with other internal teams to drive growth for the business
• Grow into Sales Manager roles or other opportunities in the business by working on a fast paced growth team

Skills

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience

• You love operating in ambiguity and being a solution oriented self starter
• You are always curious and a fast learner, meaning you can pick up and deeply understand all parts of our sales process and the various categories on the platform
• You have strong communication skills- both verbal and written and can hold an engaging conversation
• You have strong attention to detail and organizational and time management skills
• You can take in qualitative and quantitative data to make a judgment call on if a seller is a good fit for Whatnot
• You have resiliency through the sales process and can handle and work through rejection or objections
