Data Engineer, Product - USDS

TikTok is the leading destination for short-form mobile video, and they are seeking a Data Engineer to join their Product Engineering team. The role involves designing and implementing data strategies and solutions across multiple product domains, including User Growth and Notifications, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive feature launches and growth strategies.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain efficient and reliable data pipelines to support business initiatives in the user growth domain
• Drive data warehouse design in accordance to long-term product goals
• Work closely with cross-functional analytics and engineering teams to define and build data metrics and dimensions to drive feature launches and growth strategies
• Establish solid design and best engineering practices from a big data perspective

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science or related field
• Experience with performing data analysis, data ingestion and data integration
• Experience in writing, analyzing and debugging SQL queries
• Experience in Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Presto, Kafka, ClickHouse, Flink etc.)
• Experience with modern data warehousing and modeling concepts
