A-TEK actively cultivates the talent that drives our success and fosters a creative, challenging, and mission-driven work environment for current and future employees.</p> <p> </p></div><p>We are seeking an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect with deep expertise in AWS and Databricks technologies to lead the design, architecture, and technical integration of the AWS Health Data Accelerator (HDA) with the Databricks Healthcare Lakehouse. This role will ensure solutions are secure, scalable, cost-optimized, and compliant with healthcare regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will combine technical leadership with a strong understanding of healthcare data frameworks and modern cloud-native architectures.</p> <p>This role is remote with occasional travel to McLean, VA.  The ability to obtain and retain a Public Trust Level 4 clearance is required for consideration.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Architect & Design: Lead the design and documentation of end-to-end cloud solutions integrating AWS HDA and Databricks Lakehouse.</li> <li>Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all architectures adhere to FedRAMP High, HIPAA, and FDA compliance standards.</li> <li>Data Engineering Guidance: Define strategies for data ingestion, storage, transformation, and governance using AWS services and Databricks.</li> <li>Scalability & Performance: Develop scalable, high-performance architectures with emphasis on monitoring, performance tuning, and automation.</li> <li>Cost Optimization: Recommend and implement cost-efficient solutions across AWS and Databricks environments.</li> <li>Collaboration: Partner with business stakeholders, data engineers, and security teams to align architectures with enterprise data strategy.</li> <li>Innovation & Best Practices: Stay ahead of industry trends in healthcare data standards (FHIR, OMOP, HL7) and cloud-native design patterns.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Education:</strong> Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).</li> <li><strong>Certifications:</strong></li> <ul> <li><strong>AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional</strong></li> <li><strong>Databricks Certified Data Engineer or Solutions Architect</strong></li> </ul> <li><strong>Experience:</strong></li> <ul> <li>7+ years of experience in cloud solution architecture, with a primary focus on AWS and data platforms.</li> <li>Hands-on expertise with Databricks Lakehouse design, configuration, and optimization.</li> <li>Strong background in healthcare data standards (FHIR, OMOP, HL7).</li> <li>Proven track record delivering secure and compliant healthcare or government cloud solutions.</li> </ul> <li><strong>Technical Skills:</strong></li> <ul> <li>AWS services: S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, EMR, Lake Formation, IAM.</li> <li>Databricks: Delta Lake, MLflow, Unity Catalog, structured streaming.</li> <li>Security & compliance frameworks: FedRAMP, HIPAA, FDA 21 CFR Part 11.</li> <li>Experience in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and DevOps/CI-CD practices.</li> </ul> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience in multi-cloud integration or hybrid architectures.</li> <li>Familiarity with modern data mesh / data fabric approaches.</li> <li>Experience leading cross-functional technical teams in an Agile environment.</li> </ul> <p>Compensation:</p> <ul> <li>Salary Range: $195,000 – $205,000 annually (commensurate with experience)<br>Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k) with employer match; paid time off; professional development opportunities.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Why Join Us?</strong></p> <ul> <li>Opportunity to shape the future of healthcare data modernization.</li> <li>Work with leading-edge AWS and Databricks technologies.</li> <li>Competitive salary, benefits, and professional development opportunities.</li> </ul> <p> </p><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>A-TEK, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.  All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or status as a qualified individual with a disability, or Vietnam era or other protected Veteran status. <span data-teams="true">Verification of education may be requested before or during the hiring process.</span></strong></p></div>
