As an IT Support Specialist in our Global Customer Support team, you'll play a critical role in delivering exceptional service to our employees and third-party customers. You'll be the first point of contact for highly complex IT issues, and your expertise will make all the difference in resolving problems and answering queries related to computer hardware, software, network, system/application access, and telecommunications systems.
**Responsibilities:**
As an IT Support Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:
* Resolving IT Services problems and answering queries by telephone or self-service ticket in support of internal and/or outside customer computer hardware, software, network, system/application access, and telecommunications systems.
* Making assessments of problems and determining if the problem is business process, application, or infrastructure related.
* Diagnosing, identifying, isolating, and analyzing problems utilizing historical database records.
* Escalating unresolved issues to technical specialists, application, or system support specialists.
* Maintaining and updating records and tracking databases for IT Service incidents.
* Utilizing expertise in customer service and technical knowledge to resolve issues surrounding installation, usage, and training on software and/or hardware products.
* Working closely with management to mitigate recurring problems.
* Adhering to security procedures, change control guidelines, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
**Qualifications:**
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
* A Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field (preferred).
* 1-3 years of experience in IT (required).
* Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to form strong working partnerships within IT and the business community.
* In-depth knowledge of desktop computing hardware configurations and operation of peripherals (printers, disk drives, network connections, backup drives, mobile technologies, etc.).
* Understanding of software installation and configurations on both the Microsoft Windows and Apple iOS platforms.
**Essential Skills and Competencies:**
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex IT issues.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
* Proficiency in IT service management tools and technologies.
* Strong understanding of IT security procedures and change control guidelines.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
* Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Experience with IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
* Knowledge of cloud-based technologies and platforms.
* Familiarity with arenaflex's IT infrastructure and systems.
* Certification in IT service management or a related field (e.g., CompTIA A+).
