Research Intern - GI Med Oncology - Research
MD Anderson Cancer Center is a leading institution in cancer research and treatment, and they are seeking a Research Intern for their GI Medical Oncology department. The intern will assist in various research projects, gaining exposure to clinical research processes, data analysis, and compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Complete required Human Research Subjects training and other compliance courses
- Participate in departmental educational activities, including Grand Rounds, study meetings, and research seminars
- Assist with data collection, literature reviews, and computational analysis for research projects
- Shadow and collaborate with the faculty mentor to understand clinical research workflows
- Observe and learn electronic health record navigation for research purposes (chart review, documentation)
- Contribute to the preparation of research materials, reports, and presentations
Skills
- Hold a bachelor's or master's degree in biology, science, engineering field or bioinformatics
- Complete required Human Research Subjects training and other compliance courses
