Software Engineer - Intern Conversion
General Dynamics is a leading company in high technology solutions, products, and services for defense and scientific missions. They are seeking a Software Engineer Intern Conversion to develop software solutions for the armed services training community as part of a cross-functional team.
Responsibilities
- Developing software solutions supporting our armed services training community
Skills
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field
- Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Agile experience preferred
- Coursework/experience in software programming languages such as C/C++ /Java
- Experience with UNIX, Linux, and/or Windows and/or real time OS is desired
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to work in a small team environment
- Experience with C++, Angular, Python, & Java
- Familiarity with the Agile Framework
- Expertise in applying technical standards and methodologies to solve challenges in creative ways
- Collaborative team player eager to provide technical contributions in a group setting
- Thorough knowledge of technology trends and willingness to champion new ideas and process improvements
