They are seeking a talented Associate Attorney to join their Habitability Department, where the role involves managing a full caseload of habitability matters and collaborating with senior partners to develop case strategies.


Responsibilities

  • Manage a full caseload of habitability matters from intake through resolution
  • Conduct client interviews, investigations, discovery, depositions, negotiations, motion practice, and trial preparation
  • Appear for court hearings and communicate with opposing counsel
  • Collaborate with senior partners, support staff, and experts to develop winning case strategies
  • Maintain strong client communication and provide compassionate, client-centered representation

Skills

  • Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar
  • Minimum of 1 year of civil litigation experience required (personal injury, employment, landlord-tenant, or related fields)
  • Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to think critically
  • Ability to learn quickly and be independent
  • A team player attitude, no job too big or too small
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Habitability law experience strongly preferred, but not required
  • Familiarity with Slack, Filevine, Dropbox, and other legal tools preferred
