[Remote] Medical Affairs Summer Intern
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Nuvation Bio is a biopharmaceutical company focused on oncology, aiming to develop innovative therapeutic candidates. The Medical Affairs Summer Intern will rotate through various functions in the Clinical R&D Department to gain insights into the biotechnology field and support essential tasks in medical affairs.
Responsibilities
- Gain a foundational understanding of Nuvation Bio’s key assets and relevant disease states by participating in team meetings, data updates, and scientific discussions
- Assist in the development and maintenance of key scientific materials through the formal Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) review process
- Help organize training resources for the Medical Affairs team
- Assist in the cross-functional coordination and logistical planning for major medical congresses
- Support the administrative processes for internal and external relationships
Skills
- Must be pursuing a B.S. or M.S. (e.g., an enrolled student working towards a degree) in a scientific discipline of life sciences, chemistry, biology, biotechnology, materials science, etc.,) with an interest in medical, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical research & development
- Strong organizational and analytical abilities
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain a sense of urgency
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Problem-Solver - As an action-oriented self-starter, you're eager to apply your expertise in diagnosing inefficiencies, determining root causes, and recommending solutions to complex challenges
