Senior HubSpot / RevOps Consultant – Process Optimization & Sales Automation
We are a B2B consulting firm (Waypost Advisors) seeking a senior, hands-on HubSpot + RevOps consultant to help us improve how HubSpot supports our sales and outbound efforts.
This is not a GTM strategy, marketing strategy, or sales organization redesign engagement. Our business model and sales motion are established. The work is specifically focused on HubSpot process optimization, automation, and enabling functionality we are not fully using today.
We already have a detailed HubSpot implementation specification that defines our intended direction. Your role is to review our current HubSpot instance, recommend HubSpot-specific process improvements, and implement agreed-upon changes with a strong bias toward simplicity and sales adoption.
Responsibilities:
•Review and assess our current HubSpot setup (Sales Hub, workflows, sequences, pipelines)
• Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and underused native
HubSpot capabilities
• Recommend process improvements within HubSpot (not business or GTM strategy)
• Implement improvements related to:
o Sales outreach and follow-up automation
o HubSpot sequences and task discipline
o Contact and deal workflows that reduce sales admin
o Marketing suppression during active sales engagement
o Reporting that reflects reality without added complexity
• QA the system against defined acceptance criteria
• Deliver light documentation and a short walkthrough
What this role is NOT:
• Not a GTM or go-to-market strategy engagement
• Not a marketing funnel or demand generation project
• Not sales org design, enablement, or training
• Not lead scoring or MQL/SQL framework design
• Not a theoretical RevOps audit without implementation
Required experience:
• 5+ years of hands-on HubSpot experience
• Demonstrated experience in both:
o HubSpot implementation and automation
o RevOps-style process optimization inside the CRM
• Deep familiarity with:
o Sales Hub (Sequences, Tasks, Pipelines)
o Workflow automation
o Native HubSpot reporting
• Experience supporting B2B services or consulting sales motions
• Strong judgment around what not to build or automate
• Comfortable working from a detailed specification and improving it where appropriate
Strongly preferred:
• Experience optimizing existing HubSpot portals (not only greenfield builds)
• Prior work enabling outbound sales via HubSpot
• Track record of simplifying overbuilt CRM setups
• Ability to push back on unnecessary customization
• Clear, business-oriented communication style
Project details:

• Engagement type: Fixed-price preferred; hourly acceptable with milestones
• Start date: As soon as possible
