Sales Development Representative
EnerStar Solutions is a leading authorized Starlink reseller focused on providing mission-critical connectivity solutions. The Sales Development Representative (SDR) will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, engaging prospective customers, and generating qualified meetings for the sales team, all while promoting EnerStar's satellite internet solutions.
Responsibilities
- Prioritize safety in all tasks and comply with EnerStar and client safety protocols
- Champion EnerStar’s Core Values in all professional activities
- Research and identify target organizations across key Starlink verticals, including: Government (municipal, provincial/state, federal), Healthcare & emergency services, Transportation & mobility, Energy, construction, and remote operations, Enterprise & commercial organizations
- Build and maintain strategic target account lists using CRM data, LinkedIn, industry reports, trade associations, and marketing intelligence
- Identify and engage key decision makers such as IT Directors, Operations Managers, Procurement, Fleet Managers, Emergency Management leads, and Executive sponsors
- Stay current on connectivity trends, Starlink capabilities, and customer use cases
- Execute outbound prospecting via phone, email, CRM campaign, LinkedIn, and other creative outreach methods
- Conduct structured daily call and outreach campaigns to drive top of funnel activity
- Maintain high outbound activity levels (e.g., 50+ calls/emails per day)
- Support lead follow-up from marketing campaigns, trade shows, and inbound inquiries
- Qualify prospects against EnerStar’s Starlink customer profile, including: Use case and connectivity challenges, Geographic location and deployment needs, Scale (number of sites, vehicles, or units), Budget and timeline, Decision authority and buying process
- Schedule qualified discovery meetings for Regional Sales Managers
- Maintain accurate and complete prospect records in the CRM
- Log all prospecting activity, notes, and lead status updates in the CRM daily
- Track and report on key SDR performance metrics: Contacts made, Meetings booked, Qualified pipeline generated
- Participate in weekly SDR check-ins and sales pipeline reviews
- Work closely with Director of Sales and Starlink Executive Sales Team to align on target accounts and smooth handoffs
- Coordinate with Marketing on targeted campaigns, events, and trade show follow-up
- Share market insights, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence with leadership
- Develop strong knowledge of EnerStar’s Starlink offerings, including: Enterprise and government deployments, Mobility and remote connectivity solutions, Advanced support, installation, and managed services
- Stay current on Starlink platform updates, competitive offerings, and evolving customer needs
- Participate in ongoing sales training and professional development
- Participate in other relevant tasks as assigned
Skills
- Proactive “hunter” mindset with comfort in outbound prospecting and cold calling
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Resilient, positive, and able to handle rejection constructively
- Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, or similar)
- Strong business acumen and ability to quickly learn technical solutions and value propositions
