Priority Health Medicare Quality Pharmacy Intern
Corewell Health is a nationally recognized health system committed to delivering personalized health care. They are seeking a Pharmacy Intern to engage with Medicare members, improve medication adherence, and support quality measures under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Responsibilities
- Utilize motivational interviewing skills to identify and address barriers to medication adherence
- Educate members on disease state and medication
- Educate members on Medicare Part D benefits and drug coverage to increase understanding and improve member experience
- Coordinate with other health plan staff to improve health outcomes. This may include, but is not limited to, identifying and addressing Social Determinants of Health
- Engage with providers and pharmacies
- Identify and recommend operational improvements
- Participate in internal meetings and collaborate with internal partners on organizational goals
- Prepare and deliver presentation on pharmacy related topics
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude when interacting with members and providers
- Perform other duties assigned by the Manager of Medicare Quality or preceptor
Skills
- Currently enrolled in an accredited College of Pharmacy
- Michigan Pharmacist intern license
- Must be able to attend onsite meetings with leadership and/or a Health Fair on occasion
- 1 year of relevant pharmacy experience
- 1 year of community pharmacy experience
- Entering third year of pharmacy school August 2026
- Experience with motivational interviewing techniques and open-ended questions
