Mortgage Loan Officer

United Financial Mortgage, LLC is a growing mortgage brokerage that offers a work-from-home environment with opportunities for promotion and growth. The Mortgage Loan Officer will be responsible for developing client relationships, evaluating loan applications, guiding clients through the loan process, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure timely loan processing.

Responsibilities

• Contact and pitch realtors on using our company to help their clients with their mortgage needs
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients to understand their mortgage needs and provide appropriate loan solutions
• Evaluate loan applications and determine eligibility based on creditworthiness, income, and other factors
• Guide clients through the loan application process, including gathering necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with regulations
• Collaborate with underwriters, processors, and other internal teams to assist with timely and accurate loan processing
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the loan origination process, addressing client inquiries and concerns
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and changes in lending practices
• Meet or exceed sales targets by actively promoting loan programs and services

Skills

• Strong knowledge of mortgage sales and loan processing
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients
• Ability to analyze client's credit profile and make informed lending decisions
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple loan applications simultaneously
• Proficient in negotiating terms and conditions of loans within established guidelines
• Knowledge of federal regulations, including TILA (Truth in Lending Act) requirements
• Experience with Conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA guidelines
• Language: English (Required)
• MLO License in the state of Virginia (Preferred)
• Familiarity with industry software such as Arive and Lender Price (not required)
• Bachelor's (Preferred)
• Mortgage Loan Officer: 1 year (Preferred)
• Day Shift (Preferred)
• Willingness to travel: 25% (Preferred)
