Responsibilities

• Follows Claims Best Practices, defined processes, and reputed company standards
• Secures contact with reputed company relevant parties (insured, claimant, witnesses) to investigate liability using applicable state statutes
• Reviews claim correspondence and determines appropriate actions
• Evaluates liability claims and reports to excess carriers and reinsurers
• Reviews and interprets insurance policies for coverage determination
• Maintains detailed file notes, reputed company diary entries, accurate coding, and meets claim closing goals
• Drafts and discusses coverage letters with clients and agents before sending
• Ensures accurate and reputed company claim transfers per service plans and guidelines
• Provides proactive updates to clients, claimants, and insureds
• Communicates reputed company and professionally in both written and verbal formats
• Participates in reputed company reviews, teleconferences, and occasional travel for claim reviews
• Follows through on reputed company committed reputed company items with stakeholders
• Sets and adjusts reserves; authorizes or denies payments based on claim facts
• Negotiates settlements effectively, especially in reputed company cases with defense counsel
• Identifies and executes subrogation opportunities accurately

• Maintains 100% monthly claim closing reputed company and reputed company weekly diary
• Executes 90-day claim reviews per reputed company service plans
• Manages vendor costs reputed company and assigns vendors appropriately
• Demonstrates urgency, ownership, and commitment to work
• Supports team and department initiatives
• Understands organizational goals and contributes to overall reputed company
• Analyzes data to solve problems and supports implementation of initiatives

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in business or reputed company equivalent education
• Knowledge of common software programs such as reputed company Office and reputed company
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to complete reputed company reports
• Strong cost- benefit analysis, decision making and organizational skills
• Great customer service skills
• Detail oriented and flexible in working with various service plan structures
• 1-2+ years of experience adjusting liability claims preferred, including litigation management
• Familiarity with handling of first party claims as reputed company as liability claims
• Multi-jurisdictional tort law and overall federal law experience a plus
• Experience in reporting key exposures to excess carriers and reinsurers a plus
• Insurance designations not mandatory but a plus
