[Remote] Sales Development Representative
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Hummingbirds is a creator platform focused on connecting brands with authentic user-generated content. The Sales Development Representative will engage with prospective brands, initiate conversations to understand their needs, and generate high-quality sales opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Master the everyday creator economy and speak about our marketplace with confidence to build trust with potential partners
- Initiate thoughtful first-touch conversations with prospective brands to understand their goals and priorities while educating them on our solution
- Highlight the three core values of our platform, focusing on benefits rather than technical features
- Explore innovative ways to engage with passive leads and reintroduce them into our sales process
- Engage prospective brands through intentional, multi-touch outreach across email, phone, and social channels
- Generate high-quality opportunities that convert by partnering closely with AEs on discovery and handoff
- Make professional development a priority by staying informed through reading, podcasts, and learning from your team
- Leverage AI in your day-to-day to work smarter, not harder and proactively look for ways to optimize workflows, improve efficiency, and stay one step ahead
- Run A/B tests on outreach copy and talk tracks, stay curious about what’s working (and what isn’t), and rapidly adjust your approach based on results
- Compete collaboratively

Skills
- 1+ years of cold calling experience in software sales; preferably SMB SaaS sales
- You're a natural storyteller who can build trust quickly, connect brand goals to real-world solutions, and speak in buyer language, not just product jargon
- You bring strong written and verbal communication skills, paired with persuasive instincts and disciplined persistence
- You lead with curiosity and confidence while balancing thoughtfulness and urgency. You show buyers that you understand the retail and CPG world
- You have a track record of personal and professional excellence and thrive in fast-moving, high-growth environments where high expectations are the norm and proactive reps rise to the top
- You're structured, self-managed, and excellent at owning your book of contacts for the long haul
- You actively explore how tools like AI can streamline your workflow, improve personalization, and help you operate at a higher level
