Financial Analyst
First National Bank of Omaha is committed to the success of its employees, and they are seeking a Financial Analyst to join their Business Segment Finance team. The Analyst II, Finance will be responsible for accounting, financial reporting, and analysis while collaborating with business unit managers to prepare and review budgets and forecasts.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain competency within the bank’s financial systems to facilitate segment and business unit specific reporting and analysis
- Demonstrates a proven track record in retrieving data from multiple sources and able to effectively utilize/analyze this data and display it in a meaningful way to management
- Develop, prepare, and improve financial reporting to assist in the ongoing management and evaluation of the business
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of monthly reporting, supporting processes and variance analysis
- Perform processes and reporting that include vendor payments, T&E processing, GL account reconciliation, and journal entries
- Work with business unit managers for analysis of business and business products, preparation of forecasts and budgets
- Demonstrates adaptability in adjusting analysis, reporting, and forecasting to accommodate the changing business dynamics/products
- Demonstrates ability to work with cross-functional teams to complete tasks and improve efficiencies
- Continuously identify opportunities for increased efficiency/accuracy
- Identify other areas to leverage information
Skills
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance, or equivalent experience
- 1–3 years of financial analyst experience
- 1–3 years budget/forecasting experience
- Ability to work in large and medium sized project teams, as self-directed contributor with a proven track record of being detail orientated, innovative, creative, and strategic
- Exhibit professional behavior and promote positive working relationships. Maintain regular and predictable attendance in alignment with departmental/divisional policy
- Compliance: Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. Complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls, as required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and Adobe required
- Analytical experience and/or aptitude
- Ability to work with large amounts of data highly desired
- Interest in financial services and commercial banking
- Experience with PowerBI, Business Objects, Access or other reporting tools
