Risk & Trading Analyst II

The Risk and Trading Analyst II will be responsible for managing sports betting products, pricing, risk management, and collaborating with analytics teams to improve betting performance and customer experience.


Responsibilities

  • Pre match and Live pricing, trading, and promoting of the US and global sports betting products to the widest possible audience
  • Monitor market odds and assist in adjusting pricing based on real time data and bet flow
  • Resulting betting markets and resolving trading platform notifications
  • Manage customer risk profiles on all digital channels – working hand in glove with analytics teams. Noting customer wagers in real time with consistent market comparisons
  • Work with analytics teams to investigate market trends to obtain insight that assists in the prediction of customer betting patterns, and improve GGR and NGR
  • Liaising with Customer Services/Payments/Fraud teams to help identify fraudulent activity and resolve customer queries
  • Ensure all markets are set up with the correct market limits and correctly reviewed as seasons ebb and flow
  • Compilation and circulation of reports to inform stakeholders of business performance and forthcoming activities
  • Other duties as required

Skills

  • Post-secondary degree in a relevant field, such as mathematics, business or other fields within analytical disciplines
  • Must be able to work weekends, evenings and holidays
  • 1 to 2 years' experience in a trading environment or assessing and calculating risk within the areas of insurance or finance advantageous
  • Good all round sports betting knowledge and a strong interest in betting and odds required
  • Data obsessed, not just data driven. Excellent mathematical skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Flexibility is a must as working hours will be dictated by business needs. Must be able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and public holidays
  • Able to multitask and work under pressure
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment and make decisions quickly
  • Must have exceptional time management skills
  • High attention to detail and precision in delivery
  • Ability to learn quickly, work independently and in a team setting
  • Strong initiative and outstanding work ethic
