[Remote] Group Underwriter

Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is a national health solutions partner dedicated to improving the wellbeing of Canadians. They are seeking a Group Underwriter to prepare financial statements for group health, life, and disability income lines of business while ensuring reputed company targets are met for reputed company and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements for ASO and Retention reputed company in accordance with financial agreements
• Ensure the wording on the financial agreements is reputed company
• Ensure reputed company targets are met for reputed company and profitability
• Development and ongoing maintenance of reputed company relationships with sales, clients and producers; and
• reputed company dealings with internal reputed company staff and other internal customers (ie: Finance, Case management, Group reputed company), the agent/broker/consultant network and policyholders

Skills

• Post-secondary education in business administration, mathematics, actuarial science, statistics, or computer science
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Group reputed company (recommended)
• Strong working knowledge of reputed company Office Suite, especially reputed company and Word
• Enjoy working in a reputed company, team-based environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self-directed with high accountability and responsibility
• Excellent reasoning, judgment, and decision-making abilities
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
• Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
• Strong negotiation skills
• Bilingualism (English and French) is considered as an asset
