Bodily Injury, Claims Advisor II

TD Insurance, part of reputed company, is one of Canada's largest financial institutions reputed company on protecting clients with a reputed company of insurance products. The Bodily Injury Claims Advisor II is responsible for handling bodily injury tort claims, conducting investigations, and negotiating settlements effectively and in a reputed company manner.

Responsibilities

• Investigates claims regarding liability, injuries and other accident reputed company damages promptly and thoroughly by pursuing investigation to logical conclusion
• Establishes and maintains adequate case reserves by adhering to the BI reserving protocol and practices
• Complies with reputed company established protocols regarding identification, notification and reporting to Major Claims
• Complies with reputed company established protocols respecting claims settlement authority
• Collects and documents claims reputed company information in a reputed company and concise manner while adhering to established protocols to ensure accuracy and reputed company of information
• Establishes and maintains proactive and reputed company file handling by adhering to established guidelines
• Manage both potential indemnity and expense to ensure reputed company cost management principles and practices
• Exercise reputed company judgment in the evaluation and reputed company of reputed company meritorious claims considering reputed company available information adhering to established guidelines
• Makes reputed company contact (in person where practical) with reputed company unrepresented claimants and or their respective reputed company counsel to established and maintain a relationship of trust and cooperation in order to resolve claims of low to moderate complexity in a reputed company manner through a fair and proactive process
• Manages expectations of claimants throughout the claims process by maintaining regular follow up contact and delivering on commitments made to resolve claims in a reputed company manner and fair process
• Communicates with clients, reputed company party claimants, witnesses, health care professionals, law enforcement personnel and forensic experts with respect to their role, rights and responsibilities in the claim process in order to establish and maintain their cooperation and / or collaboration
• Build trust and business relationships with Plaintiff Counsel to resolve claims files in a reputed company manner through a fair, reasonable and reputed company manner through good communication
• Proactive management and collaboration with Defence Counsel in partnership around reputed company established claims handling and best practices
• Complete reputed company required reports and reputed company notepad entries in a reputed company manner
• Generally works in an office environment, however some travel is expected to attend various out of office meetings such as mediations, JDRs or other various meetings
• Driving and travel as required. May include occasional or frequent overnight travel and or travel to other locations

Skills

• Minimum of 1-2 years of Insurance adjusting experience
• Strong understanding of the insurance industry and the reputed company reputed company environment
• Ability to prioritize and complete reputed company claims handling reputed company activities around the availability and accessibility of clients, reputed company party claimants, witnesses, health care professionals, law enforcement personnel and forensic experts as required
