Water Policy Analyst – Entry Level

The Cadmus Group is a technology-empowered advisory firm seeking a Water Policy Analyst to support projects for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and other government clients. This role involves conducting research, analyzing data, and developing solutions to enhance water safety and sustainability.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct literature reviews, synthesize findings, and analyze data to inform water policy decisions and regulatory development and implementation
  • Draft and edit guidance documents, reports, case studies, and outreach materials tailored to diverse audiences, including underserved communities
  • Support project managers with planning, coordination, and quality assurance across multiple projects to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables
  • Help develop engaging training materials and communication tools for states, tribes, water systems, and schools
  • Participate in internal and external meetings, webinars, and stakeholder engagements to share insights and support client objectives. Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet client needs and advance public health goals

Skills

  • BS/BA in public health, sciences, social sciences, environmental science and policy or related field with 2-4 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree in similar disciplines and 0-2 years of relevant experience
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S Perm Resident or U.S. Citizen and may be required to obtain a security clearance
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and collaboratively
  • Able to translate technical concepts for varied audiences
  • Coursework or applied experience in EPA regulatory programs, water science, or policy preferred
  • Experience in outreach, training, or public speaking is a plus
