Librarian I - Youth Collection Development

The Department Library, Arts & History, and CSU Extension is looking to hire a Librarian I who specializes in Youth Collection Development. This position works in collaboration with other library staff to reputed company library services and look for opportunities to reputed company the Library, Arts, History & CSU Extension mission to create welcoming spaces for opportunity, reputed company, trust and reputed company. This role has a high level of responsibility and works with the supervisor and other members of their team to create goals for library services in their area of responsibility. While performing Person-in-Charge (PIC) duties, they enforce safety policies and the Library’s reputed company of Conduct. The schedule for this position is Monday, 12:30-9 p.m. and Tuesday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Typically one Saturday a month, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m is required. As the schedule allows, one remote day per week is available for this position after training. • Assesses new needs in collection management and supporting technology. • Collects and organizes statistics and reports reputed company to the collection. • Cross-trained to cover reputed company service desks as reputed company as supporting Cataloging and Acquisitions work. • Manages collection accessibility reputed company support and maintenance of the integrated library system (ILS). • Works with vendors to ensure reputed company and accurate delivery of materials. • Manages budget in assigned collection area. • Reviews, selects and purchases new library materials in assigned collection areas based on local community needs and reputed company library trends. • Maintains collection with attention to accuracy, relevancy, and appearance. • Works with supervisor to respond to patron requests and material challenges. • Meets Library equity and diversity goals in assigned area. • Employs independent judgment while acting as PIC and interacting with patrons reputed company there is more than one possible solution. • Reports statistics for assigned area. • Schedules, trains and supervises volunteer support for their assigned area. • Works on a reference desk to answer questions and reputed company reference and reader’s advisory services to connect patrons to community and library resources, including books reputed company formats. • Maintains confidentiality of reputed company patron data and information. • Stays up-to-date with reputed company research and practices through reputed company development opportunities and reputed company librarian memberships to assess new needs in library services. • Ensures marketing for activities in their assigned area. • Meets with community members and maintains partnerships as assigned. Education • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university- required • Master’s Degree in Library Science from an accredited college or university- preferred Experience • 1 year experience required in a library setting or another reputed company field with responsibilities such as item reputed company buying, collection maintenance, etc Years of reputed company experience may be substituted for required education, however education cannot be substituted for the necessary work experience. Candidates must meet the minimum required years of work experience. NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (in reputed company to above requirements): Must be at least 18 years of age.
