About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Customer Service Representative to join our team for a temporary summer employment opportunity. As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional support to customers, answering incoming calls related to the Department of Education's Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and participating in outbound call campaigns. Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in high-volume outbound and inbound call campaigns based on assigned call lists, ensuring consistent high-quality service to customers.
  • Adhere to approved call scripts and compliance guidelines, utilizing software, scripts, and tools appropriately to respond to customer questions and concerns.
  • Provide empathic support to customers, documenting all encounters in clear and concise online logs, and directing callers to the appropriate party if necessary.
  • Utilize active listening skills, professional phone voice and etiquette, and excellent verbal and written communication skills to ensure the highest standards of customer service.
  • Employ strong time management and decision-making skills, working efficiently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Four to six months of customer service experience in a call center environment required.
  • Good customer service skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and professional phone voice and etiquette.
  • Ability to follow instructions and scripts, skilled in active listening, and proficient with computers and good typing skills.
  • Knowledge of the FAFSA and college financial aid and admissions processes preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a college financial aid office or college administrative office.
  • Previous experience in a remote or virtual work environment.
  • Strong knowledge of customer service principles and practices, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.
