[Remote] DOW - Cloud Engineer/Administrator

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. cFocus Software is seeking a Cloud Engineer/Administrator to join their program supporting the Department of Defense (DoD). The role involves administering and maintaining cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments, ensuring compliance with security policies, and collaborating with various teams to optimize cloud operations. Responsibilities • Administer and maintain cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments supporting DSAID • Provision, configure, and manage compute, storage, networking, and platform services • Monitor system health, availability, performance, and capacity; respond to alerts and incidents • Support system patching, upgrades, and configuration changes in accordance with change management processes • Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures to ensure continuity of operations • Support RMF and ATO activities by implementing and maintaining security controls • Ensure compliance with DoD cloud security requirements, STIGs, and cybersecurity policies • Support vulnerability remediation, continuous monitoring, and audit activities • Collaborate with Cloud Architects, Cybersecurity Engineers, and DevSecOps teams • Support CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) initiatives • Troubleshoot infrastructure and platform issues; perform root cause analysis • Develop and maintain cloud operational documentation, runbooks, and diagrams • Support system modernization, cloud migration, and optimization initiatives • Participate in Agile planning, technical reviews, and operational readiness activities • Provide on-call or after-hours support during releases or system incidents Skills • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) • 5+ years of experience supporting cloud or enterprise infrastructure environments • Hands-on experience administering cloud platforms (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or equivalent) • Experience with cloud networking, security groups, load balancing, and storage services • Experience supporting Linux and/or Windows server environments • Familiarity with RMF, NIST SP 800-53, STIGs, and DoD cybersecurity compliance • Experience working in Agile and DevSecOps environments • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD CAC and required background investigation Company Overview • cFocus Software automates FedRAMP compliance and develops government chatbots for the Azure Government Cloud, Office 365, and SharePoint.
