This position is accountable for assigning ICD-9-CM diagnosis and procedure codes and CPT-4 procedure codes to inpatient and outpatient medical records utilizing the reputed company encoding software application. Assigns both HCFA-DRG and APR-DRG's to inpatient medical records. Abstracts clinical, financial, trauma-reputed company, and reputed company management information into the health system's information management system. Monitors accounts receivable, reputed company rejection, claims rejection, and other associated billing reports. Performs inpatient hospital coding 70% or more of total coding reputed company.
