EA SPORTS Academy - Software Engineer (Vancouver, Canada)

Responsibilities
- You will participate in monthly learning modules throughout your first year as part of your EA SPORTS Academy cohort
- You will be embedded in an EA SPORTS Development Team and:
- Collaborate with designers, content creators, and software engineers to deliver features for a cross-platform game
- Write clear and estimatable technical design specifications
- Use C/C++ to ship tested and high-quality technical implementations that meet design requirements
- Follow best practices to maximize game performance across multiple devices and platforms
Skills
- B.Sc. or M.Sc in Computer Science with a graduation date between December 2024 and May 2026
- Proficiency in C++ programming
- Demonstrated knowledge of good software engineering practices
- Strength working in a collaborative team environment
- Experience solving challenging engineering problems with creative technical solutions
- Willingness to participate in professional development activities to stay current on industry knowledge, principles, and solutions
- 1+ years of experience with another programming language(s) (C# or Java) and/or platforms (mobile, game consoles) is a major plus
