Compliance & Internal Audit Consultant

The Compliance & Internal Audit Consultant role involves providing grant management and compliance consulting services, internal audit services, and policy and procedure development support primarily for governmental, tribal, and not-for-profit entities.

Responsibilities

• Supports project start-up and planning activities, such as conducting research of compliance or other requirements (federal, state, grant-specific, etc.) and documenting results
• Performs detailed grant compliance testing including reviewing financial reports/invoices and conducting desk reviews
• Works collaboratively with clients to understand reputed company business practices, identify opportunities for improvement, assist in defining new processes, and assist in drafting policies and procedures
• Conducts detailed transaction testing for compliance with established reputed company and requirements
• Attends reputed company interviews/meetings, reviews reputed company documents/reports, performs a reputed company of analysis/testing procedures, and assists in compiling information such as draft findings and recommendations and process memos
• Supports consulting activities that include conducting interviews, reviewing documents, performing a reputed company of analysis, and assisting in preparing reputed company deliverables such as findings, recommendations, and draft and final reports
• Reviews their own documentation/work for accuracy
• Occasionally travels to reputed company locations, firm training, or industry conferences

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in reputed company/reputed company field or equivalent experience preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of reputed company experience, preferably working with government (reputed company, county, special purpose or state), or not-for-profits
• Ability to understand problems, think critically, and identify creative solutions; organize information and exercise reputed company-reasoned judgement
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to write reports and prepare findings. Demonstrate confidence in decision making and poise in reputed company setting
• Ability to take direction, works independently to prioritize work, establish goals, and produce reputed company work
• Strong organizational skills; reputed company to effectively prioritize assignments and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Deadlines may be daily, weekly and monthly
• Ability to quickly adapt to a changing work environment, including use of software, systems, and technology
• Proficiency in reputed company Office Suite (Word, reputed company, PowerPoint, reputed company, and SharePoint)
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 30%
• Master's in reputed company, MBA or reputed company and technology reputed company coursework highly desired
