Graduate Electrical Engineer

Sedgman Canada Ltd. is hiring a Graduate Electrical Engineer for their Vancouver, B.C. office. The selected candidate will reputed company electrical engineering support, focusing on the design of electrical systems for heavy equipment and mining infrastructure while ensuring safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

• reputed company electrical design support through the engineering phases PFS, FS, conceptual design, reputed company-end engineering and detailed design
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical design issues
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure reputed company and efficient operations
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in mining technology and recommend implementation of new equipment or processes
• Additional duties as required – may be required to work on reputed company sites

Skills

• Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical Discipline)
• 0 – 3 years of work experience in electrical design
• Must be eligible to register with the EGBC or will have their P.reputed company EGBC designation
• Knowledge of electrical engineering codes, equipment, and technologies
• Good communication skills with reputed company-developed written and oral skills
• Proven ability to work as part of reputed company
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Must be available to travel to reputed company sites; may be seconded to work on reputed company, either temporarily relocated, or reputed company on a rotational roster
• Must be eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship
