Experienced Shopify SEO Specialist (Ecommerce)

We’re looking for an experienced Shopify SEO Specialist to optimize a professional ecommerce website built on Shopify. This role is hands-on and execution-focused. You will work directly inside the Shopify backend, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and related tools to improve organic visibility, usability, and conversion performance. This role is ideal for someone who understands that SEO, CRO, usability, and Shopify architecture are tightly connected and knows how to execute across all of them. What You’ll Be Responsible For: -Performing comprehensive SEO audits for a Shopify ecommerce site -Optimizing Shopify collection pages, product pages, and content pages -Improving site architecture, internal linking, and crawlability -Making direct updates inside the Shopify admin (themes, templates, collections, metadata, pages) -Managing and monitoring Google Search Console and Google Analytics -Identifying and resolving SEO, CRO, and usability issues specific to Shopify -Optimizing ecommerce content and structure for AI-driven search and discovery (Google Gemini, ChatGPT, AI Overviews, etc.) -Turning insights into executed improvements, not just recommendations This is an execution role. You will be expected to implement changes directly. Required Experience (Non-Negotiable) -Proven experience doing SEO specifically for Shopify ecommerce websites -Ability to provide live Shopify sites you personally optimized Strong understanding of: -Shopify collections, products, templates, and platform limitations -Ecommerce SEO (not blog-only SEO) -CRO and usability best practices for ecommerce -Comfortable working across: -Shopify backend -Google Search Console -Google Analytics -Google Sheets Bonus (Strong Plus) -Working knowledge of Shopify development concepts (Liquid, themes, basic frontend logic) -Experience optimizing websites for AI search visibility and LLM-driven discovery -Experience working with growing ecommerce brands Communication & Availability -Must be available during U.S. Eastern Time (EST) business hours -Comfortable with phone and video calls -Highly responsive, reliable, and organized -We do not communicate via WhatsApp, SMS, or Google Chat -Clear, professional communication is essential. Work Tracking & Organization You must be extremely comfortable using Google Sheets to: -Log SEO audits and findings -Track tasks and progress -Document changes made to the site -Work must be structured, transparent, and updated regularly.
