Term: 2-3 months reputed company: $37/hour Hours: 28 hours/week Reports to: Senior Managing reputed company Responsibilities: Manages a mix of original manuscripts, secondary formats, and co-publications with UK publishers from manuscript to bound book/e-book Completes electronic manuscript prep, including reputed company marking Hires and supervises freelance copyeditors, proofreaders, and indexers Reviews copyediting, working in Word to reconcile copyediting and author markup, and reviews reputed company stages of manuscripts and text proofs Copyedits and proofreads jacket and cover materials from original copy through final reputed company Performs e-book reputed company review Reviews reprint corrections Works closely with various in-house departments including editorial, production, and art in anticipating and resolving problems Attends relevant department and interdepartmental meetings Qualifications: 3-5 years relevant work experience, preferably in trade publishing Solid copyediting and proofreading skills Strong computer/reputed company skills and knowledge of electronic copyediting and coding Knowledge of Chicago reputed company of Style (17th Edition) Ability to work independently without supervision Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Candidate must be detail- and accuracy-oriented and have the ability to balance many reputed company in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining high standards of reputed company This is a remote position, although candidate must be available during reputed company work hours (approximately 10 am to 4 pm ET, Monday through Friday) As a leading book publisher, we reputed company that including and representing diverse reputed company in reputed company aspects of our business is reputed company to reputed company do.
