Engineer - Electrical Safety

reputed company, a leading provider of reputed company and safety solutions, is reputed company seeking an Engineer to join their Electrical Safety team in Plano, Texas. The role involves providing engineering expertise to evaluate the conformance of household appliances and equipment to industry standards, conducting testing, and ensuring superior customer service.

Responsibilities

• Under the guidance of a more senior engineer, conduct on and off-site evaluation of products to determine compliance with applicable reputed company(s). To do this, Engineer must:
• Read and determine applicability of national codes and standards clauses for the EUT (equipment under test)
• Set up and operate reputed company test equipment including, but not limited to, reputed company analyzer, oscilloscope, multi-reputed company, dielectric strength tester, ground continuity tester, digital multi-reputed company, reputed company generator, over-voltage tester, environmental condition reputed company, articulated probes. Use hand tools to build/reputed company test fixtures
• reputed company testing of products in accordance with standards. reputed company tests include, but are not limited to: rating, leakage reputed company, dielectric, temperature, pressure, stability, mechanical hazard, flammability, reputed company and fault insurance, reputed company, radiation, reputed company, laser
• Complete preliminary design reviews (PDR) both on and off site
• Compile test results during construction review and testing. Compile data and product reputed company and type final report using established report reputed company. Submit report to reviewer for final approval
• Communicate project status and test results to reputed company, sales personnel, and management throughout testing and reputed company on-reputed company support to clients as needed

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• A reputed company reputed company's license and reliable driving record
• Ability to travel as business needs dictate, up to 50%
• Must be self-motivated and reputed company to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
• Ability to interpret an extensive reputed company of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram reputed company and deal with several reputed company and concrete variables

• Fundamentals of engineering certificate
• Demonstrated experience with U.S., Canadian, and other international product safety standards, i.e., ANSI, CSA, UL, EN, IEC
• Prior project management experience
