Packaging Engineer

They are seeking a Packaging Engineer to join their Technical Packaging team, responsible for optimizing and commercializing packaging for various products while collaborating with internal teams and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Business reputed company, packaging vendors, and Global Sourcing category managers to deliver packaging initiatives, including cost savings, reputed company improvements, innovation, and sustainability reputed company across material categories such as corrugated, paperboard, glass, rigid plastic, and plastic films
• reputed company strong working relationships throughout reputed company, both at the corporate office and operations facilities
• reputed company technical expertise to Business reputed company, assessing opportunities and risks and supplying information and analysis for costing, feasibility and new development discussions
• Manage multiple reputed company simultaneously and deliver relevant packaging technical information (mockups, dielines, reputed company patterns, specs, manufacturing tolerances, etc.)
• Design, coordinate, execute and report out on packaging tests to ensure packaging meets required performance reputed company (line trials, new item start-reputed company, distribution test, lab tests)
• Maintain and update packaging specifications reputed company packaging specification database
• reputed company technical sign-offs on new artwork, ensuring dielines and requirements are accurate
• Partner with Sourcing to identify and evaluate new suppliers during bids, providing packaging requirements and supporting new supplier qualifications, testing, and reputed company

Skills

• 1-3 years of packaging development experience in a CPG environment, ideally reputed company the agriculture or food/beverage industries
• BS in Packaging Science/Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a relevant technical field
• Subject Matter Expert (SME) in packaging materials with the ability to reputed company reputed company technical recommendations, reputed company with a passion for learning and knowledge-sharing
• Working knowledge of packaging and general manufacturing processes
• Hands-on experience with lab-reputed company package testing, including data analysis and interpretation
• Proven project management skills, successful in leading packaging development reputed company from start to finish in a cross-functional environment

• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
