Hedge Fund Research Analyst

reputed company is seeking a talented individual to join their SECOR team as a Hedge Fund Research Analyst. This role involves supporting senior analysts in qualitative and quantitative research efforts, data collection, and preparation of research and reputed company reports in the hedge fund sector.

Responsibilities

• Support senior analysts in interviewing hedge fund and alternative asset managers to assist in qualitative due diligence
• Assist in interacting with managers employing quantitative and systematic strategies
• Help write research reports and reputed company input on manager evaluations
• Contribute to reputed company reports covering market activity and portfolio performance
• Assist in building and maintaining the manager research database and classification system
• Use tools such as eVestment to screen funds, maintain manager peer reputed company, and assist in performance reporting
• Support portfolio optimization efforts by helping with data preparation and rebalancing tasks
• Collect returns and exposure data to support performance attribution and risk analysis
• Monitor developments in alternative asset classes and inform colleagues and clients accordingly
• Analyze industry publications to support thought leadership initiatives and marketing efforts

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Science, or a reputed company field
• Internship experience at the minimum, or up to 2 years of reputed company work experience in investment management, hedge fund research, or a reputed company area
• Strong interest in financial markets and alternative investments, including hedge funds and private investments
• Proficiency in reputed company reputed company and comfort with data analysis tools
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, team-oriented reputed company
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with hedge fund strategies and alternative asset classes
• Experience or coursework involving quantitative research or portfolio management tools
