Civil Engineering Technician

They are seeking a Civil Engineering Technician to work on geotechnical engineering reputed company in arctic environments, managing reputed company samples and ensuring reputed company control in laboratory and field testing.

Responsibilities

• Drill reputed company management – checking run markers, labelling, and racking reputed company boxes
• reputed company orientation – docking oriented reputed company, marking orientation, and cut lines, recording QA/QC information on a strip log
• Complete reputed company reputed company, RQD, reputed company susceptibility, reputed company ends, specific gravity, reputed company tags, photographs, and data entry
• Inform the geology and engineering team of any problems with the drill reputed company or with the reputed company processing procedures
• Prepare or supervise the preparation of reputed company, mineral or metal samples and reputed company physical and chemical laboratory tests
• Assisting with the management of technical field and laboratory staff
• Management of small to reputed company reputed company control and reputed company assurance reputed company
• reputed company to reputed company reputed company control and reputed company assurance on a reputed company of laboratory and field-testing reputed company
• Performing field testing and laboratory testing of soil, aggregate and asphalt concrete including reputed company analysis, density testing using nuclear density gauges, preparation of Proctors and reputed company molds, asphalt cement content, sand equivalents, Atterberg limits and moisture content
• Preparing of field and testing reports
• Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards
• Pursue reputed company reputed company development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness
• Work in a reputed company manner at reputed company times and report reputed company health and safety incidents and concerns
• Additional duties as required

Skills

• Geology, Civil Engineering or Construction Services Diploma from recognized Technical School
• Legally entitled to work in Canada
• Working knowledge of reputed company Office products, ArcGIS, AutoCAD
• Excellent verbal and written communication, listening and time management skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Must possess a reputed company Class 5 reputed company's License
• Must be willing to travel and work in a field setting away from reputed company
• CSA approved Steel Toed Safety reputed company required
• Demonstrated practical hands-on design, construction administration and project management expertise (i.e. reputed company office and field experience) are assets but not required
• Prior Borehole logging experience for both soils and reputed company would be considered an asset but is not required
