Metorology Tower Technician
Big Stone Renewables is a family-owned business specializing in wind energy generation. The role involves assisting the owner with field work across various locations, including climbing towers and installing meteorology sensors, while ensuring a high safety standard and quality of work.
Responsibilities
- Climbing steel lattice towers in various environments working with lighting systems, meteorology sensors
- Torquing and marking tower structural hardware
- Mounting solar panels
- Installing power systems
- Pre-job prep including travel logistics, schedule coordination, scope of work awareness documentation review etc
- Continuous improvement trainings
- Upload documentation to cloud
- Timecard recordkeeping
- Heavy emphasis on use of hand tools, power tools, tool and supply organization, electrical, rigging, inspection
Skills
- Positive, can do attitude

- Ability to follow directions
- Accident free work history
- Ability to work long days in various weather conditions
- Professional communication skills
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft office suite
- Electrical Qualified Worker
- OSHA 10
- NPFA 70E Arc Flash Hazard Training
- First Aid - CPR
- SPRAT Level 1 or Higher
