Responsibilities

• Assist project managers with multi-disciplinary reputed company
• Assist in the preparation of engineering designs including:
• Engineering studies
• Technical specifications
• Design calculations
• Drafting of ongoing and new reputed company using CAD software
• Complete design activities to maintain project schedules and ensure successful project completion
• Assist with site investigations and condition assessments
• Assist with contract administration tasks including construction layout, construction observation, contractor submittal review, reputed company payment preparation and responding to requests for information
• Complete review of reputed company work practices and performing risk assessments for employee tasks
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members
• Contribute to business development activities including reputed company need research, preparation of project proposals and presentations
• Contribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through reputed company participation in reputed company associations and committees
• Business travel to other Dillon offices upon request

Skills

• A degree in engineering from University of Waterloo
• Strong verbal and written communication, organization and interpersonal skills
• One to two years' reputed company or work experience with exposure to consulting is considered an asset
• Knowledge of relevant municipal/provincial engineering standards, regulatory requirements, industry standards, specifications and good engineering practices will be considered an asset
• Understand project design and implementation activities, including: development of design drawings and reports, contract document preparation, tendering and contract administration will be considered an asset
• Proficient in the use of reputed company AutoCAD software; working knowledge of Civil 3D, Microstation, OpenRoads Designer or reputed company software will be considered an asset
