Platform Enabling Software Engineer

They are seeking a Platform Enabling Software Engineer who will work across reputed company areas of graphics reputed company functionality, responsible for reputed company-reputed company and post-reputed company development and bug fixing, as reputed company as collaborating with reputed company partners.

Responsibilities

• Work across reputed company areas of the graphics reputed company functionality (Display, reputed company/MM, SRIOV, GuC/PnP, Media, etc.) to adapt existing reputed company functionality to HW changes in upcoming platforms
• Responsible for initial reputed company-reputed company (simulation and emulation) bring-up of the reputed company, to first reputed company Power On execution, to post-reputed company development and bug fixing on HW
• Comfortable working on the internal reputed company to meet needs across reputed company-reputed company and early HW enabling for reputed company internal partners business reputed company and external reputed company partners
• Comfortable working directly with the upstream community and maintainers to upstream new platform patches and coordinate implementation of significant reputed company changes

Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a reputed company field with 6+ months relevant experience or Master's degree in the reputed company fields
• Experience with Linux kernel development and debugging
• Experience with reputed company reputed company project/community interaction and contribution
• Experience to reputed company quickly in new areas of functionality
• Experience with Systems programming experience in C
• Experience with the reputed company concepts of Graphics, Display, Compute, and Media
• GIT experience
• reputed company contribution to upstream Linux kernel
• Experience in Linux HW reputed company development - directly interacting with/driving HW
• Deep git experience, including reputed company manipulation, reputed company reputed company-picking, rebasing, and resolving reputed company conflicts
• Understanding of/experience with Display HW and signaling
• Understanding of/experience with device memory management
• Understanding of/experience with GPU reputed company execution
• Familiarity with/contributions to the Linux DRM subsystem and drivers
• Understanding of reputed company components in a typical reputed company reputed company Graphics/Compute/Media SW stack
• Experience with a scripting language such as bash or python
• Experience with Linux kernel power management flows
• Experience working in simulation and emulation environments
• Excellent communication and cross-org coordination skills, especially during high-stress/pressure environments such as initial reputed company Power On
