Sr. Account Manager (Energy and Refined Fuels SaaS)
About the position
As an Account Manager, you will be the strategic owner of client accounts, ensuring long-term success and revenue growth. You will serve as a consultative advisor, building relationships, identifying new opportunities, and expanding the account through cross-selling and upselling. You are expected to identify opportunities within existing accounts, ensuring DTN's solutions continue to meet evolving customer needs.
Responsibilities
• Account Ownership & Relationship Management Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts
• Build strong, trusted relationships with key stakeholders, acting as a strategic consultant
• Maintain a deep understanding of client needs, challenges, and business objectives
• Provide proactive recommendations, introducing new solutions that add value and drive engagement
• Have a deep understanding of the energy and refined fuels sector
• Ensure customer satisfaction and retention by delivering top-notch service and innovative solutions
• Sales Growth, Cross-Selling & Upselling Identify need to bring in additional DTN expertise and solution engineer resources to for ongoing account expansion.
• Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities to expand account value
• Conduct regular business reviews with clients to uncover unmet needs
• Strategically introduce new products, services, and solutions that align with client goals
• Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to optimise client offerings
• Negotiate contract renewals above a set threshold, ensuring continued success and profitability
• Hunt for Additional Opportunities Continuously analyze accounts for new business opportunities, leveraging industry insights and customer feedback
• Identify potential referrals, partnerships, and expansions within existing accounts
• Work alongside Account Executives to develop strategic growth plans for key clients
• Stay ahead of industry trends to recommend solutions that differentiate DTN
Requirements
• 5 years of experience in software and/or SaaS sales
• 5+ years of experience in account management, consultative sales, or B2B client relations
• Strong understanding of specified sector/industry
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Proven ability to drive revenue growth through cross-selling and upselling
• Self-motivated, with a strategic mindset and proactive approach to account management
• Proficiency in SFDC software for tracking leads and managing pipelines
• A consultative and professional approach to engaging with customers
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances
