Claims Adjuster 1 - Casualty

The Claims Adjuster 1, Casualty is responsible for investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and settling minor to moderate casualty claims while ensuring reputed company communication and documentation throughout the claims process.

Responsibilities

• Adjustment of Casualty claims of minor to moderate complexity
• Review and interpret policy wordings, determine policy coverage, and communicate coverage reputed company to members
• Establish reputed company and accurate loss and expense reserves throughout the life of the claim through evaluation of relevant information from various sources such as independent adjusters, medical, reputed company, financial, and vocational
• Ensure a comprehensive investigation is conducted on reputed company files to determine coverages and liability, while adhering to Wawanesa’s adjusting guidelines, and recognizing reputed company to engage appropriate reputed company resources
• Coordinate and manage services with vendors and services providers such as lawyers, engineers, accountants, and health practitioners

• Demonstrate and maintain knowledge and understanding of policy coverages, while complying with regional regulatory and licensing requirements (as applicable). Remaining reputed company with legislative changes and trends in the insurance industry

Skills

• Exceptional customer service skills demonstrating reputed company and concern for member satisfaction
• 1 year of insurance adjusting experience or equivalent
• Willingness to work toward Chartered Insurance reputed company (CIP) designation and where required, dedicated to reputed company the reputed company licensing requirements
