[Remote] Asset Support Associate

RemoteHunter is an organization that provides auto loans to underserved consumers, and they are seeking an Asset Support Associate to support their Loss Mitigation department. The role focuses on asset recovery and skip tracing to manage a growing loan portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Utilize skip tracing techniques and GPS asset tracking to locate and repossess vehicles
• Collaborate with agents during repossession to secure vehicles
• Maintain detailed repossession notes in loan management systems and RDN
• Analyze loan data to identify relevant information for asset location
• Use investigative and repossession software to gather accurate information
• Upload and document all forms related to accounts and recovery
• Contribute to department goals, KPIs, and performance metrics
• Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors for recovery success
• Make follow-up calls to agencies for status updates
• Manage day-to-day operations of the Asset Recovery Department
• Communicate effectively to ensure correct workflows and positive relationships
• Collaborate on recovery strategies and share account insights
• Provide timely updates to internal teams and repossession agents
• Stay informed on industry regulations and best practices related to automobile repossession

Skills

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum 1 year experience in repossession or auto finance with knowledge of best practices and regulations
• Self-motivated with ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Professionalism and effective communication skills
• Results-driven with strategic and analytical problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Teams, Outlook) and skip tracing tools like TLO or LexisNexis
• Preferred experience in late-stage collections, post-charge off, or recovery
• Prior experience in automobile recovery or financing preferred
