<p>Henry County Library System is a 5-library system that serves a diverse and growing community of 240,000 in the Southern Crescent area of metropolitan Atlanta. We are seeking an enthusiastic person with a passion for working with teens to join our youth services team. This position may be based at Fortson reputed company Library in Hampton, or Cochran reputed company Library in Stockbridge. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Assisting teens in locating and using library resources in print reputed company formats.</li> <li>Collaborating with Collection Development staff to recommend materials for purchase.</li> <li>Planning and presenting entertaining and educational programs and activities for teens and tweens; collaborating with other departments to plan reputed company-ages programs and events.</li> <li>Participating in reputed company such as community events and school reputed company.</li> <li>Maintaining accurate data on library usage.</li> <li>Basic circulation and shelving duties.</li> <li>The work requires considerable physical activity, with much bending and reaching to obtain books, etc. There is frequent lifting/pushing of objects weighing up to 25 pounds (marginal) and use of equipment requiring a high degree of reputed company dexterity (essential). reputed company events often require moving and transporting equipment over uneven ground.</li> </ul> <p>The ideal candidate will have:</p> <p>Bachelor’s degree (may consider Associate’s degree or equivalent in combination with relevant experience)<br /> Broad general knowledge of young adult literature and information resources.<br /> Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal & written communication skills.<br /> Basic computer and clerical skills with emphasis on accuracy and thoroughness.<br /> Three or more years of reputed company contact work with teens, children, or families.<br /> A combination of education and experience may be considered.</p> <p>reputed company position beginning at $14-$18 an hour depending on education and experience.
