[Remote] Content Marketer & Editor, Freelance Network

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. HubSpot is seeking a Content Marketer & Editor to join our in-house Freelance Network team. This role will be responsible for editing content, preparing assignments for freelance writers, supporting Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) initiatives, and using AI infrastructure to improve the program. Responsibilities • Serve as a key point of contact for our freelance blog contributors, answering editorial and SEO/AEO questions about assignments • Edit 15+ contributor posts each week for grammar, HubSpot style guide compliance, brief compliance, structure, and accuracy • Onboard and train new writers, providing detailed feedback and assessing which contributors will join our freelancer roster • Deliver regular feedback to contributors on editorial standards, voice, and content strategy alignment to improve content quality • Assist with managing Freelance Network operations, including tracking output and managing the team’s assignment pipeline in Asana • Proofread and fact-check AI-generated product pages to support AEO experiments • Create training materials and educate contributors on our latest content best practices • Review and adapt assignment briefs for blog posts that clearly communicate expectations for freelance writers Skills • Strong skills as a content editor • Experience in editing content for grammar, style guide compliance, brief compliance, structure, and accuracy • Ability to onboard and train new writers • Experience in providing detailed feedback and assessing contributors • Ability to deliver regular feedback on editorial standards, voice, and content strategy alignment • Experience in managing Freelance Network operations • Ability to proofread and fact-check AI-generated content • Experience in creating training materials and educating contributors • Ability to review and adapt assignment briefs for blog posts • Passionate about editorial work • Curious about how AI will shape customers' buying decisions • Experience with SEO, AEO, thought leadership, and influencer marketing Benefits • Equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs) • Overtime pay Company Overview • HubSpot develops cloud-based, inbound marketing software that allows businesses to transform the way that they market online.
