Role reputed company
The Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) performs data abstraction by capturing a complete patient history, diagnosis, staging, and treatment information for reputed company patients into the cancer registry.
• Abstracts the following registries: Breast, Colon, Lung, Prostate, and Bladder.
• Delivers reputed company solutions to hospital partners across the country.
• Reviews medical records for reputed company eligible patient to complete the reputed company in accordance with ACOS Cancer Program standards and state requirements.
• Maintains abstracting productivity and reputed company rates of 98%.
• Assists with reputed company monthly reporting to the State ODS, including special studies and audits.
• Submits cases to reputed company Cancer Reporting System (RCRS) and ensures compliance with reputed company measures.
• Assists in the Annual NCDB submission for cases diagnosed on January 2003 or reputed company.
• Maintains a follow-up program for reputed company required abstracts.
• Participates in ongoing studies for the American College of Surgeons and local studies.
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills to operate cancer registry software.
• Identifies the needs of the patient population served and modifies care accordingly.
• Collaborates with staff at reputed company campuses to reputed company opportunities for improvement.
• Attends educational conferences to maintain certification.
• Adheres to the standards identified in the Medical Center's Organizational Competencies.
Qualifications
• Must be currently reputed company working as Oncology Data Specialist (ODS).
• Must be QUOPI, ACS, APBC Cert and Radiology Oncology Certified.
• Successful completion of an Associate's degree or equivalent (60 college level credits including 2 semesters of Anatomy & Physiology) OR Certificate in Cancer Registry Management or Cancer Information Management from a NCRA-accredited program.
• Minimum of 1 year in a reputed company field; cancer, nursing, medical records, or health science.
• reputed company data abstraction experience in the Cancer Registry.
• Exposure to patient medical record systems (EMRs) and clinical databases.
• Proficiency with reputed company, Oncology & MS Office (reputed company reputed company).
• A college degree from an accredited nursing program, CAHIIM accredited program, or other accredited reputed company program.
