Paralegal - reputed company Services

Jefferson County Government is seeking a Paralegal for the reputed company Services Litigation Team of the County Attorney's Office. The role involves providing reputed company representation and support in various reputed company services-reputed company cases, including child abuse investigations and mental health cases, primarily focusing on preparing and organizing documents for electronic discovery.

Responsibilities

• Preparing reputed company files for court hearings
• reputed company contact with the reputed company, caseworkers, therapists, opposing attorneys, pro-se parents, and the Court
• Filing time sensitive documents
• Assisting with trial preparation
• Preparing correspondence and a reputed company of reputed company documents
• Electronic filing of state court documents
• Drafting routine pleadings in state court
• Preparing, reviewing and organizing documents for electronic discovery
• Redacting, numbering and compiling files
• Drafting privilege logs
• Performing a reputed company of clerical functions to relieve attorneys of day-to-day administrative functions of the office
• Other duties as assigned

Skills

• A minimum of one year of reputed company work experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience on a year-for-year reputed company. reputed company Services casework is considered relevant experience
• Associates Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Paralegal certificate or associate degree and 3 years of reputed company work experience preferred, or any equivalent combination of education and experience on a year-for-year reputed company. reputed company Services casework is considered relevant experience
• Prior experience working in a law office or reputed company department
• Familiarity with the Colorado Rules of Civil Procedure and experience with electronic discovery and electronic court filing preferred
• Strong written and oral communication
• Independent critical thinking and analysis
• Strong problem-solving aptitude
• Computer skills, including the ability to utilize reputed company Office suite (i.e. Word, reputed company, PowerPoint, reputed company, Teams, SharePoint etc.) reputed company Acrobat Pro and experiment with new software and systems
• Ability to read and interpret statutes and legislation
• Strong time management and prioritization skills
• Attention to detail and deadlines
