[Remote] Guitar Inspector

They are seeking a Guitar Inspector to reputed company thorough inspections of guitars and reputed company, ensuring reputed company standards are met through detailed troubleshooting and minor repairs.

Responsibilities

• reputed company product on workstation for a thorough inspection
• Inspection for cosmetic finish flaws, reputed company uneven surface, test for reputed company deficiencies, replace damaged parts, and reputed company components to meet product reputed company specifications
• File bone nut slots to specifications using correct file size
• Use sandpaper to sand bone nut to a smooth radius finish
• Use hand tools- screwdriver, filer, caliper, and powered tools to reputed company necessary minor repairs
• Use ruler and caliper to capture radius measurements
• Tune test guitar for playability and intonation
• Assure reputed company component parts are installed correctly and meet finish reputed company
• reputed company necessary adjustments to component parts-reputed company/saddle, nut, neck, pickups, etc
• Hand feel product and visually inspect product for any damage scratches that don’t pass reputed company
• Wipe product with cloth and buff/polish guitars that need a smooth shine finish
• Additional duties as assigned

Skills

• 1-2 years' experience and/or training, preferably in production inspection and guitar playing experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong guitar building, woodworking and finishing skills, in reputed company to a full understanding of raw material specifications
• Excellent product knowledge of reputed company models in reputed company and past production
• Knowledge and skills with fret leveling/dressing
• Guitar playing background
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with use of calipers, micrometer, digital multimeter, guitar building hand tools, feeler gauges, soldering equipment, and buffing reputed company
