Strategic Buyer Outreach / Corp Dev Consultant — Tech Platform Asset (M&A-Style Process)
Overview
We’re seeking a senior consultant to run a structured strategic buyer outreach process for a software platform and related IP/assets. The objective is to identify qualified acquirers, initiate executive-level conversations, and manage the process through NDA, information packet distribution, and buyer meetings toward LOI-stage discussions.
This is not a general marketing or low-level lead-gen role. We need someone who can operate like corp dev / M&A outreach / strategic partnerships with strong judgment and discretion.
Responsibilities
Develop an acquirer thesis and define target buyer categories
Build and prioritize a target list (strategic + financial)
Write and execute outreach sequences (email + LinkedIn) to decision-makers
Qualify interest and schedule buyer calls
Maintain a pipeline tracker (stages, notes, next actions) and provide weekly reporting
Support buyer communications and next-step coordination (NDA → info packet → follow-ups)
Asset (high-level)
Marketplace-style technology platform with mobile apps (iOS/Android), backend/admin tooling, and associated digital assets. Detailed materials are available to shortlisted candidates after an NDA.
Ideal background
Prior work sourcing or supporting software/tech acquisitions, corp dev outreach, or executive-level partnerships
Proven ability to reach founders/CEOs, corp dev leaders, product executives, or PE operators
Strong writing and process discipline (you run a clean pipeline and follow-through)
